SAS in full content agreement with Worldspan

Travel News Asia 9 March 2006

SAS and Worldspan have reached an agreement whereby SAS will distribute its full content to Worldspan's Global Distribution System (GDS). The agreement is a result of several months' negotiations and allows SAS to obtain lower distribution costs.

"SAS wish to give the market full access to our fares and products through the Worldspan GDS, but while doing so we also need to reduce our distribution costs to a competitive level," said Robin Kamark, SVP Airline Commercial in SAS. " Worldspan is a valued partner, and we are pleased to have met this agreement with them; it is a step in the right direction."

"Worldspan is committed to providing competitive airline content to travel agents all over the world," said Kevin Ficco, Worldspan vice president - Airline Distribution and Business Development. "Full content parity with SAS websites and the carriers' own reservations and ticket agents ensures that Worldspan customers have access to the best SAS has to offer."
