Le Meridien Al Aqah launches Special Summer Promotion

Travel News Asia Wednesday, 7 June 2006

In a move aimed at relieving stressed residents of the UAE as the summer begins its annual onslaught of heat and humidity, Le Meridien Al Aqah, the award-winning East Coast resort, is offering a welcome respite from city life with rates starting from just AED 299 per person per night.

Set against the majestic Hajar mountain range, the resort provides five-star service as well as first rate dining and leisure facilities. Guests who take advantage of this special offer – which is valid until September 15th 2006 – will also receive complimentary breakfast in addition to a meal at Views restaurant.

“Our resort combines Fujairah’s sun, sea and sand with outstanding facilities, making it the only true ‘getaway’ destination for residents of the UAE,” said Patrick Antaki, general manager, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort.

“As temperatures sore across the region, we aim to offer a refreshing and rejuvenating escape experience for all of our guests, allowing them to enjoy a tempting range of food and beverage outlets, exciting water orientated sports activities and, most importantly, the chance to simply relax and take a break from hectic city life,” Antaki concluded.

As part of the dynamic Emirates Group and managed by world renowned corporation Starwood, the resort which recently celebrated its 3rd anniversary, is a playground for individuals who enjoy water sports and the great outdoors. Spacious rooms are coupled with an excellent range of on-site recreational facilities and activities include beach volleyball, beach soccer, water polo, sailing and access to the region’s finest diving and fishing sites. Mountain bike trails, hiking paths and a range of four-wheel drive excursions are also easily accessible and within close proximity.
