Tom Meyer, Area General Manager, InterContinental Hotels Group, Dubai Festival City, commented on the decision, “The InterContinental and Crowne Plaza hotels at Dubai Festival City represent a key component of our global growth plan. We needed to carry our standards of quality and service right through our events and banqueting business, so we chose Delphi. The success that InterContinental Hotels Group properties have had with Delphi around the world assures us that we will be building our groups, conference, and events business in the UAE on a strong foundation of technology and service.”

A shared resource for all of the InterContinental Hotels Group properties at Dubai Festival City, the state-of-the-art Events Centre is situated directly below the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City. It offers dramatic views of historic Dubai Creek and encompasses 4,500 square meters (13,500 square feet) of conference and events space across two levels, divisible into ten break-out rooms offering services for small board meetings or large banquets of up to 1,800 guests. There is a 24-hour business centre and hi-speed Wi-Fi internet access in all public areas.

InterContinental Hotels Group expects to establish the Dubai Festival City properties as a Middle East hub for groups, conferences, and events of all types as Dubai continues its phenomenal growth as a center for business and tourism. Delphi Multi-Property Edition enables InterContinental Hotels Group to set and achieve clear sales targets toward that goal, deliver superior service on large and small events alike, and maximize return on its Dubai Festival City assets.
