Boat Thai 2007 to take place from 27-29 April 2007 in Bangkok

Travel News Asia Thursday, 30 November 2006

Boat Thai 2007 will take place from 27-29 April 2007 in Bangkok, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC). The boat show, targeting the entire Indo China region, will feature boat displays, luxury yachts, charter services, the latest marine equipment and technology, and all other services and products associated with the marine industry.

Boat Thai has been conceived as a close partner to Boat Asia, established by Suntec Integrated Media (SIM) over the past three years as one of the region's foremost boat shows and an important engine for boat industry growth in markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines.

“Unlike other boat shows with more focus on the expatriate boat buyer, Boat Thai will reach out to native Thai customers. Boat Thai will ride the swell of Thailand's rapid growth in marina living within the region, with the unprecedented number of new marina and residential projects that are already under construction or well into their near future planning stages. Boat Thai is geared up to address boat industry needs in the major cities of Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and Yangon, a territory that collectively is home to 11 marinas and a population of 17.05 million,” said Roel van Leeuwan, Director of SIM.

“The strength and value-add of Boat Thai will also be derived from its close collaboration with over 80 nautical and leisure boating lifestyle publications that have been established by Boat Asia. The advertising and media coverage will span Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand as well as Europe and the United States” Roel added.
