Expanded Operating Frequencies in Korean Air's 2006 Summer Schedule

Korean Air has increased its operating frequencies, especially to European cities in its summer schedule which commenced 26 March 2006.

Korean Air has increased the frequencies on its Seoul ~ Seattle, Seoul ~ Toronto routes and will also upgrade the aircraft used on the Seoul ~ New York route.

For the Seoul ~ Seattle route, Korean Air has decided to add a Monday flight in addition to its three existing weekly flights (on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). Moreover, the airline plans to add a Sunday flight during the peak season from July to August. This brings the number of weekly Seoul-Seattle flights to five.

In addition, Korean Air is increasing its weekly service to Toronto, Canada to three by adding a Tuesday flight.

From August 1, Korean Air plans to deploy its newly delivered aircraft, a B777-200 (KE085/6) with Cocoon Styled Sleeper Seats on one of the major destinations in the US - New York. The new aircraft has the Audio Visual on Demand (AVOD) systems installed in all three classes of service. It also provides in-flight internet options, more comfortable seats, and a brand new interior.

For Europe Korean Air will expand its Seoul-Paris frequencies from five weekly flights to daily service while the Zurich and Amsterdam services will be increased to three times weekly. The Seoul-Moscow service will also be increased from three to four weekly flights commencing June 1.

The services to Fiji, one of the Oceanic destinations, will be increased from twice to thrice weekly.
