Air Miles Cardholders in UAE can Save with Hertz Car Rental

Travel News Asia Thursday, 21 September 2006

Holders of Air Miles cards in the UAE and Qatar can now save money on car rental around the world with Hertz.

Hertz UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim Group of companies, has signed an agreement with Air Miles in the Middle East, which gives its members discounts of up to 10% on rental bookings.

Cardholders will receive 10% off the best available Hertz car rental rates in the US, Canada, Latin America and the Far East while discounts of 5% are on offer when booking a car in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Customers just need to make their reservation through Hertz UAE or by using the Hertz website and quote the promotional number, which will be sent to them by Air Miles.

In a separate scheme Hertz UAE is giving Air Mile cardholders a further boost by offering a free Air Mile for every Dirham spent on prepaid international reservations vouchers booked through Hertz UAE’s International Reservations Centre. Air Miles can be exchanged for a huge selection of goods ranging from air tickets and spa treatments to electronic items and jewellery.

The all-inclusive prepaid rates are available for over 150 countries in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. For example car rental costs start from just US$34 per day for France, from US$39 for the UK and from US$53 for New York.

“Our partnership with Air Miles is part of our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with additional benefits and rewards by linking up with external organisations,” said Bob Farrow, general manager of Hertz UAE.
