Millennium & Copthorne launches New Global Frequent Guest Recognition Programme

Travel News Asia Tuesday, 21 November 2006

Millennium & Copthorne International (M&C) is reaching out to its frequent corporate guests by launching a global Frequent Guest Recognition (FGR) programme. M&C will roll out the FGR programme in two phases. The first phase which was on 20 November 2006 included 15 of its key properties in Singapore, London, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

The latest research findings by a well-known international travel company show that corporate guests regard in-room internet access as the most important service feature in hotels. This was followed by complimentary breakfast, hotel business facilities and VIP check-in and out. The survey supports M & C’s initiative to create the FGR programme.

In the FGR programme, members will enjoy complimentary internet access at the hotels - helping them stay connected for their business needs as well as keeping in touch with family and friends. VIP check-in and check-out will be another key benefit of the programme. This will include having a dedicated check-in area to ensure hassle-free check-in. Fast-track registration is also another FGR programme feature enabling FGR members to sail through the registration process - important to the business person on the move. Members can also request for early check-in and late check-out and this will automatically be extended whenever rooms are available.

Importantly, on arrival, FGR members will be welcomed by the participating property’s FGR Ambassador and be treated to a refreshing welcome beverage; alternatively, the beverage voucher may be retained for use anytime during the remainder of their stay. FGR members will also receive welcome treats, free upgrades and special occasion celebration offers.

The participating hotels in the first phase of the FGR programme roll-out are:

US: Millennium Broadway Hotel and Millennium UN Plaza Hotel, New York; Millennium Bostonian Hotel, Boston; Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel, Chicago and Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles

London: Millennium Bailey’s Hotel; Millennium Gloucester Hotel; Copthorne Tara Hotel London, Kensington; Millennium Hotel London, Knightsbridge and Millennium Hotel London Mayfair

Singapore: Orchard Hotel; M Hotel; Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel; Copthorne King’s Hotel and Copthorne Orchid Hotel Singapore

FGR exclusive membership will be by invitation. Guests who have chalked up repeat stays of more than 15 nights over 12 months across any of the 15 participating properties, will be pre-qualified and invited to join the programme. 6,000 members have been pre-qualified in this first phase rollout. More members will be pre-qualified on a continuing, rolling 12-month basis.

From May 2007 onwards, the FGR programme will be rolled out to more M & C properties worldwide.
