Chef Neil Perry to Host Exclusive Cocktail and Dinner at Phuket's Trisara Resort

Trisara, an exclusive resort in Phuket Thailand, has entered into a new partnership with one of Australia’s most adored and influential chefs, Neil Perry.

From June 1, Neil Perry will introduce and oversee all Trisara menus in conjunction with Trisara’s in-house culinary team.

To celebrate the partnership, Trisara will be hosting 2 exclusive events at the resort on June 1 and 2, as well as offering out of town guests a 2 night stay and dining package.

At a 'Cocktail Party with Neil Perry' on June 1, the celebrated chef will host cocktails and canapés from the new Trisara menu, specially created for the resort.

On June 2, he will host an interactive ‘Dinner and Cooking Demonstration', instructing guests how to prepare dishes as they are being served from the kitchen. The event includes a three-course dinner and bottle of wine per couple.

For those wishing to stay in Phuket for both of the events, Trisara is offering a 2-night package for two persons sharing, checking in on June 1. The package is inclusive of the cocktail party on June 1, dinner and cooking demonstration on June 2, daily full American breakfast for 2 persons at the restaurant, one 90 minute Thai or Oil massage treatment for 2 persons per stay in Trisara Spa and Limousine transfers to and from Phuket Airport.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a deluxe fruit presentation and hand-made chocolates replenished daily in their private villa, access to the resort’s facilities such as the gym and tennis courts, unlimited broadband high-speed Internet access in the villa and selections from the music library on mini iPods which connects to in-room stereos. Packages start at US$795 for an Ocean View Pool Suite.

Neil Perry made his name in Sydney through his flagship 'Rockpool' restaurant. Within six months of opening it was voted Sydney’s best new restaurant in the Good Food Guide.

Over the past 17 years Rockpool has collected a host of international awards, including a consistent ranking among the top 50 restaurants in the world by UK magazine Restaurant. Most recently, Rockpool won the Australian Gourmet Traveller's Restaurant of the Year 2004 award.

His consulting business, Rockpool Consulting, is meanwhile highly sought after, with clients including Qantas Airways, where he develops menus for international First and Business Class.

Neil Perry is also author of three recipe books including Rockpool, Simply Asian and his most recent the best seller, The Food I Love.

He has produced 4 classical/recipe CDs, created a range of Neil Perry Fresh food products in conjunction with Woolworth’s Supermarkets, and presented television programmes on The LifeStyle Channel, including Food Source, Fresh & Fast and The Rockpool Sessions.

Trisara’s 42 pool suites and villas, and privately owned residential villas, sit within 40 acres of secluded gardens between two private headlands hidden by towering ancient hardwoods just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport.

Its elegant restaurant is a dramatic focal point, with sensational sea views from the 1,000 square-metre teak deck lofted above the bay. It also boasts an extensive wine cellar.
