Travel News Asia 16 March 2006

Greg McCarthy has joined Gary Marshall’s specialist recruitment company, TMS Asia Pacific, in the newly created role of Managing Director.

After a six month sabbatical on his farm on the NSW South Coast, Greg has joined the team at TMS Asia Pacific in their Australian head office in Pitt St, Sydney.

“Having spent the last 22 years in various positions throughout the Business Travel industry, I thoroughly look forward to joining Gary Marshall and his dynamic team in the very competitive and exciting market of Travel and Hospitality recruitment” Greg said recently.

“I have spent the last few weeks visiting our offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Singapore and I must say I am very impressed with the quality of our team, the level of professions within TMS and the strong client relationships with so many of the industries major players”.

TMS Asia Pacific was established by Gary Marshall in 1994 and is one of the largest travel and hospitality recruitment companies in the Asia Pacific region.

“Gary has successfully grown TMS Asia Pacific to its current size; I am coming on board to ensure this growth continues, with our new international offices opening in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Dubai and Auckland in the not too distant future. Gary will take on the role of Group CEO, which will require extensive travel during this particularly busy phase of our development”.

“Whilst Gary will be focusing on our growth particularly in Asia, I come on board to ensure the high level relationships and focus on customer service that Gary has forged, will be continued. If there are any areas within TMS that need enhancing, I will certainly be looking at these as well” added Greg.
