Austrian Airlines revamps Packages to Attract More Malaysians to Vienna

Travel News Asia 14 March 2006

Austrian Airlines has launched a selection of holiday packages to Vienna, Austria for Malaysian holidaymakers. The new packages have been developed as a result of increasing demand from Malaysians who are interested in discovering all that Vienna and Austria have to offer.

Mr Wilson Tay, Austrian Airlines Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore said, “While Austrian Airlines has offered holiday packages to Malaysians in the past, this new brochure released today is our most comprehensive to date. Not only does it offer some great value-for-money stopovers in Vienna the Austrian capital, but there are several packages like the one entitled ‘Waltz into Europe’ for Malaysians who want to use Austria as their gateway to the best that Europe has to offer”.

Mr Tay continued, “With our six flights per week from Kuala Lumpur to Vienna, Austrian Airlines provides excellent connectivity to all the leading European destinations. As our flights arrive into Vienna in the early morning they are ideal for businessmen who have meetings in Europe. It’s possible to depart Kuala Lumpur late in the evening and be in Europe early the next morning in time for work”.

“While these packages are directed mostly to leisure travellers, they will also appeal to businessmen who want to combine a little leisure time with work. Vienna is one of the most exciting cities in the world as it combines a rich heritage with one of Europe’s most happening city cultures”, he added.

One of the highlights of the brochure is the ‘Tale of Three Cities’ which offers packaged holidays to three of Europe’s most romantic cities – Vienna, Prague and Budapest. Specially-priced promotional packages will be offered to Malaysian consumers during the MATTA Fair to be held in Kuala Lumpur later this week.

Holiday packages on Austrian Airlines to Vienna, Austria and Europe start from just RM2,980 and include return airfare to Vienna, centrally-located accommodation, arrival transfer, Vienna Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing Tour and a slice of the world-famous Sacher Torte and a cup of rich Viennese coffee in the equally famous Sacher Café in Vienna.
