Aftershock, one of the UK's leading women's evening wear, daywear and accessories brands, has joined hands with event organiser Reflex Publishing - the name behind Pipeline magazine - to search for the Best Dressed Lady at the gala, at Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba lawns on November 15.

“We wanted to create some excitement for the ladies who attend this fantastic event dressed in their best finery and came up with this idea which was enthusiastically supported by Aftershock,” said Eileen Michael, Publisher, Reflex Publishing.

Aftershock will create a special booth where all ladies at the ball will be able to have their photograph taken. All the pictures from the evening will then be assessed by a panel of judges who will decide the winner of the first Aftershock Best Dressed Lady title and a runner-up.

“The Oil Barons’ Ball is associated with style, sophistication and glamour - a natural fit for the Aftershock brand, which is well known for its elegantly stylish ladies fashions from evening wear to luxurious daywear,” said Aniysha Seyfferdt, Marketing Manager, Aftershock.

The title winner will receive Dhs 2000 and the runner-up will be awarded Dhs 1000 each, in gift vouchers, courtesy Aftershock.

Up to 2,000 oil and gas executives from around the region are due at the ball which has the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai, and Chairman of the Emirates Group.

”This will be the biggest ball yet with a star-studded line up of entertainment from two of the finest Motown tribute bands - The Drifters and The Four Tops,” said Michael.

“The two are planning to present a 15-piece finale to close the evening which we anticipate will be the most memorable yet.”

The overall theme for the evening is black and gold to reflect oil - black gold. The dress code for the evening is Black Tie or National Dress.
