New Look for Wellington’s Mercure Hotel, Willis Street

Conferencing in Wellington, New Zealand, just got better at the new look Mercure Willis Street.

“Following a comprehensive refurbishment programme, this dedicated business and meetings hotel has six conference rooms including one of Wellington’s largest ballrooms,” said General Manager Lee Pearce.

Mercure Willis Street is only a short stroll to the city centre and is located in the funky Cuba Quarter, renowned for the eclectic mix of lifestyle, shopping and the nearby theatre district. The hotel features 90 freshly styled rooms, Dish Restaurant, W-Lounge Bar, business centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa, fitness centre and squash court.

The six conference rooms are all located on one floor and accommodate up to 400 delegates. They feature natural light, no pillars and full AV capability, and parking is also available.

As a special offers the hotel is offering those that book a residential conference between now and September a complimentary one hour Meet & Greet cocktail function for delegates. The package consists of canapes, NZ beer, house wines and juices. It applies to conferences where half of the delegates stay in-house.
