Summer Golf Camps at Laguna Phuket Golf Club

Travel News Asia 6 July 2005

The Laguna Phuket Golf Club is offering a series of Junior Fun Golf Camps throughout the summer school break.

Resident PGA golf professionals, Andy Comb and Bruce Whitehead, both from England, are offering a series of lessons for golf-loving kids. Lessons cover the basics of golf instruction, including set-up, posture, alignment, chipping, pitching, putting and driving, followed by refreshments and some fun competitions with prizes. Each lesson concludes with lunch at the Banyan Café located within the clubhouse.

Bruce Whitehead prefers that “Students are aged 7 to 15, however, younger children with a genuine interest in golf are also welcome. Even if they know absolutely nothing about golf, we can handle that and we don’t mind if they just come to have some fun and a good time with their friends”.

Laguna’s Summer Golf Camps are easy on the parents who need not worry about any preparation as all the necessary equipment, drinks, prizes and even lunch is included.

The Camps commenced on Monday 27 June 2005 and run every Monday and Wednesday each week until September 2005. Daily lessons start at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm and are priced at 1,000 Baht per student per session. Places are limited.
