Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong to hold Recruitment Fair in April for 975 jobs

Travel News Asia 30 March 2005

The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong at International Finance Centre which opens in September this year is recruiting staff for almost 1000 positions.

The hotel is holding a Recruitment Fair, on Saturday April 9, Sunday April 10 and Monday April 11, to allow interested parties to explore employment opportunities with one of the world’s leading operators of luxury hotels and resorts.

The Recruitment Fair will be open from 10.00am to 7.00pm at Podium Level 4 in the International Finance Centre (IFC) Mall adjacent to the “two glass boxes”. Entrance to the area may be accessed through the elevators in front of City’Super or the escalator in front of Starbucks Coffee in the main atrium.

Potential candidates will be shown information about Four Seasons, have a wide variety of job opportunities explained to them, and be given an application form in the reception area. They will then move on to a private interviewing area to meet with members of the management team.

“We want to attract the most talented, enthusiastic and promising staff available in Hong Kong,” William Mackay, vice-president and general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong said. “And we believe the Recruitment Fair will provide us with the best opportunity to do that.”

“The Four Seasons Group is delighted to be returning to the Hong Kong market with a dazzling new harbour-front property and with unrivalled strength in Asia,” he added, “We are committed to Hong Kong and the region, and particularly the China market.”

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong said it is looking to hire self-motivated people who will flourish within a management philosophy based on mutual respect, leadership by example and who will constantly seek to improve their performance and look for new ways of doing things.

The Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is a new development including a 399 room hotel and an adjacent all-suite hotel with 519 residences intended for longer stays. It will have three major restaurants and a 20,000 square foot holistic spa with 16 treatment rooms and extensive exercise and recreational facilities.

The hotel is seeking 975 staff for all departments from food and beverage (with about 430 vacancies), to engineering, spa, housekeeping and front office.
