Thai Airways International
has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GE Engine Services to become a GE Approved CF6 Center of Excellence, and a world class
CF6 maintenance provider.
Under the terms of the MOU, GE will provide technical and marketing support to enable the THAI
Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Don Muang Airport in Thailand to become a GE Approved CF6 Center of Excellence, whereby the facility will provide
world-class maintenance and overhaul services to operators of CF6-50 and CF6-80 engines around the world. GE will also establish an on-site logistic center to enable
THAI's MRO facility to have access to GE parts and materials.
