Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts selects Pegasus RateChecker service

Travel News Asia 29 August 2005

Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to use Pegasus RateChecker service to monitor the rates of its competitors. Based in Singapore, Parkroyal has a portfolio of 13 hotels in the Asia Pacific region.

RateChecker gives hotels an online tool to track rates of competing hotels. With a repeating stream of real-time competitive information, hotel staff can instantly adjust rates on their available rooms to drive bookings while maximizing profit. Now with the optional RateChecker Group Manager module, hotel groups including Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts can monitor competing rates from a corporate view for each property in their organizations. Powered by the innovative Web-crawling technology of Electrobug, RateChecker monitors competitors and certain web sites selected by customers. Hoteliers can also monitor various advance booking rates and contrast rates for differing lengths of stay to ensure profitable everyday pricing.

Ms. Christina Chua, Vice President of Marketing of Parkroyal, said, The RateChecker service is most helpful for us to ensure the competitiveness of our hotels rate levels. It is also a useful tool to compare merchant model rates, ensuring that hotels maintain their rate parity and integrity with this reservation channel. With the RateChecker service, we can maximize our revenues while we offer travelers attractive prices.

Parkroyal also uses the Utell by Pegasus representation service and the NetBooker booking engine service from Pegasus Solutions.
