Travel News Asia 29 March 2005

American Airlines is to resume seasonal nonstop service from New York's Kennedy International Airport to Rome, Italy, on Sunday, April 3.

American will fly the JFK-Rome route daily through October using Boeing 767 aircraft configured with 30 Business Class seats and 189 seats in the Main Cabin. Rome is one of five key European destinations American serves nonstop from New York, along with Brussels, London, Paris and Zurich.

"There's perhaps no more exciting city in the world than New York and no place more timeless than Rome, and American's nonstop service brings these two unique destinations within hours of each other," said Tom Gleason, Eastern Regional Vice President for Sales at American. "Along with the convenience, American also offers AAdvantage travel reward miles, great in-flight service and affordable fares."
