Hawaiian Airlines extends Special Air Fares between Australia and Hawaii to Mid June

Travel News Asia 28 February 2005

Hawaiian Airlines is extending its special air fares from Sydney to eight Hawaiian destinations until mid June.

For departures up to 31 March, Hawaiian is offering roundtrip fares from Sydney to Honolulu from just A$849 per person (plus tax of approximately A$145). And now, for departures from 1 April to 16 June, the airline is offering a fare of just A$1049 plus tax.

Departures from Sydney to Maui (Kahalui Airport), Kona and Hilo on The Big Island and Lihue, on the island of Kauai, are priced at just A$989 per person, roundtrip (plus tax of approximately A$145) for departures up to 31 March, and A$1189 per person, plus tax, from 1 April to 16 June.

And for those travelling to Molokai, Lanai or West Maui, a fare of A$1099 (plus tax of approximately A$145) is offered for departures before 31 March, and A$1299 plus tax for departures between 1 April and 16 June.

Hawaiian Airlines flies four times weekly from Sydney to Honolulu, using two-class Boeing 767-300ER twinjets, and operates high frequency service to neighbour islands with a fleet of Boeing 717 jets.

Flight HA22 departs Sydney on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, crossing the international dateline and arriving in Honolulu at 11.10am the same day.

“There is never a bad time to visit Hawaii and there is never a shortage of activities once you arrive – but between now and the end of April in particular there is a unique opportunity to view whales in waters surrounding all of the Hawaiian islands,” said Scott Cammell, Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia for Hawaiian Airlines.

“Our evening departure from Sydney enables passengers from anywhere in Australia to connect on the same day with our outbound flight,” said Mr Cammell. “It also enables Sydney-based passengers to spend a day at work or at study or even just packing to leave for Hawaii.

“And with our late morning arrival into Honolulu, passengers from Australia can arrive rested, check-in at their hotels and be on the beach by early afternoon - or they can continue quickly and conveniently on Hawaiian’s frequent onward flights to neighbour islands.”
