Dubai Media Hub's First Hotel Reveals Interiors

Travel News Asia 27 July 2005

Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts has unveiled the interior design philosophy behind its latest property, the Radisson SAS, Dubai Media City. The hotel will be the first to open in Media City and marks Radisson SAS’ return to the emirate.

The design concept was created by Singapore based IMA Interiors, who specialise in boutique hotels and high-end residential development projects tailored to the international technology and media elite. The interiors combine a blend of rich natural textures, stainless steel and glass with modern Italian furniture.

Siegfried Nierhaus, General Manager, Radisson SAS, Dubai Media City said, “Throughout the hotel, the underlying theme is one of chic international style with a modern flair which seems very appropriate in this emerging global business hub”.

The Media City property, due to open by the end of the year, boasts 247 guestrooms equipped with the latest facilities including LCD televisions with a sleek and stylish décor. The hotel provides guests with a range of culinary experiences, from an open-kitchen all-day dining restaurant to a signature Italian restaurant and a fusion restaurant with a vibrant and trendy bar. The mezzanine level has a bar serving fine Spanish tapas, while the rooftop terrace lounge provides a calm and relaxing chill-out atmosphere overlooking the palm and the panoramic landscape and water features of Dubai Media City.

A health and beauty centre includes a spa with a choice of five distinct experiences to trigger the senses. Individual treatment rooms are styled to reflect the lavish and opulent Asian culture. Special attention and detail is given to the interior of each treatment room and the products used for the various massage and water therapies. An outdoor pool, sauna and a state of the art-gymnasium complete the facilities.

Ten meeting rooms offer customised facilities with wireless internet access. A luxurious executive lounge with outdoor terrace is the perfect venue for coffee breaks and guests staying on the executive floor. Designed with the meeting professional in mind, the MICE facilities are well-suited to cater for all needs.
