AirAsia reports Passenger Traffic for September 2005

For the month ended 30 September 2005, AirAsia's Malaysian operations flew 408,507 earned seats, compared to 331,493 earned seats recorded for the same period of 2004, an increase of 23.2%. Thai operations registered 140,660 earned seats, compared to 114,019 recorded for the same period last year, an increase of 23.4%. The Indonesian operations registered 68,739 earned seats for the first half of the year since take off in December 2004. The total passengers carried by the group is 617,906, compared to 445,512 recorded for the same period last year, an increase of 38.7%.

For the first quarter FY2006, the AirAsia's Malaysian operations flew 1,192,692 earned seats, compared to 984,621 earned seats recorded for the same period of 2004, an increase of 21.1%. Thai operations registered 445,505 earned seats, compared to 369,340 recorded for the same period last year, an increase of 20.6%. The Indonesian operations registered 172,655 earned seats for the first half of the year since take off in December 2004. The total number of passengers carried by the group is 1,810,852, compared to 1,353,961 recorded for the same period last year, an increase of 33.7%.
