InterContinental Hotels Group appoints new Area Directors of Sales and Marketing in Australia

InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed David McDonald as Area Director of Sales and Marketing NSW East and promoted Anthony Ingham to the position of Area Director of Sales and Marketing NSW Central, Australia.

David McDonald has over 15 years experience in Sales and Marketing within the hotel industry. Previous roles include Director of Business Development, Hilton Sydney; Group Director of Sales & Marketing, Rydges Hotels & Resorts and Director of Marketing, Hyatt Sanctuary Cove and Pan Pacific Gold Coast. David moves into the role of Area Director of Sales and Marketing NSW East, replacing Fiona Pascoe, who has moved into the role of Director of Marketing at the InterContinental Sydney.

Anthony Ingham moves into the role from his previous position as Business Development Director, Travel Management for InterContinental Hotels Group. Over the last two years in this role Anthony has led the strategic development of Business Travel Agent partnerships for the region. Anthony joined InterContinental Hotels Group as a National Account Manager Corporate in May 2001 when he relocated form the United Kingdom.

Anthony replaces Bruce Ryde who has moved into the role of Area Director of Sales and Marketing Intercontinental Hotels Group - Malaysia and Vietnam.
