The KLM Crown Lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been considerably expanded and now offers a fully refurbished interior and improved catering service. The
concept for the new lounge was specially developed in response to extensive research among KLM passengers and has been applied to all KLM Crown Lounges
worldwide.
The new Crown Lounge is located in the European departures hall. Expanded by 660 m2 to cover a total surface area of 2,200 m2, the lounge now offers seating for 581
travelers, 176 more than before. A revitalized catering concept has also been introduced. The broad spread of fresh products available at the buffet is rotated throughout
the day and hot snacks are served in the afternoon.
The new lounge offers extra comfort with more spacious, relaxing chairs arranged in a way to provide maximum privacy. There is also a cafeteria with small tables and
comfortable, modern seats, a circular self-service bar and a recreational area, flat-screen television sets and chairs with built-in speakers in the headrests. The new
lounge also houses a study area boasting Internet facilities and a well ventilated, entirely separate area for smoking complete with television and dedicated coffee bar.
