Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, offers Unique Shopping Experience

Travel News Asia 21 September 2005

The Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur has launched a unique MO Shopping Cart service, which is designed to indulge guests who love to shop at Suria KLCC, conveniently located next to the hotel.

The specially designed MO Shopping Carts, embellished with the hotel’s logo and signature gold fan, are available for in-house guests’ use, and come fully equipped with mineral water and refreshing cold towels to help make shopping a decidedly more pleasant experience. In anticipation of a high demand for the service, guests are required to book one day ahead for the shopping carts from the hotel Concierge.

“We decided to develop a different way to enhance our guests’ shopping experience that was uniquely Mandarin Oriental,” said Jonas A Schuermann, General Manager. “We expect this to be a particularly popular service, as we have observed that a majority of our guests return after a day of shopping, with more bags and purchases than they can handle! We are delighted to be the first hotel in Kuala Lumpur to offer guests their own, private shopping carts.”
