Air France Industries to open Logistics Center in Abu Dhabi

Air France Industries is setting up a component logistics center at Abu Dhabi airport aimed at enhancing customer service in the Middle East for the portfolio of existing and future customers operating Boeing 777 and/or Airbus fleets.

Air France Industries is currently organizing the stock valued at more than 10 million dollars, and will begin operations early 2006.

The logistics center will provide :

- Reception and distribution of parts,
- Dispatch from a central delivery point,
- Warehousing, with Main Base parts storage,
- Fast Shop services using an ATEC testbench for Avionics equipment, 
- Local rapair management, as well as Air France Industries repair network back-up.

Air France Industries will therefore be able to lower ownership and operational costs and offer an enhanced range of competitive local services to customers throughout the region for their fast growing 777 and Airbus fleets.

"This logistics center is integral part of Air France Industries' strategy of implementing innovative solutions at local level to match the expectations expressed by our customers," said Alain Bassil, President of Air France Industries.

Air France Industries is a leading multi-product aircraft maintenance provider with a worldwide network, a workforce of 10,000 and more than 600 aircraft supported on long-term contracts on behalf of approximately 100 major airlines.
