Krabi's Rayavadee appoints TQPR as Public Relations Consultants in Thailand

Travel News Asia 21 October 2005

The exclusive Rayavadee, a stunning resort in Krabi, southern Thailand, has appointed public relations consultancy, TQPR, as its communications partner in Thailand.

The resort, which has just been named one of the best 108 hotels and resorts in the world in the highly respected Conde Nast Traveler Gold Awards List, is set in a dream location on a 26-acre private peninsula bordering one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.

Rayavadee, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, and which recently completed a refurbishment of some its facilities which sustained some minor damage in the South Asian Tsunami, is seeking to build and enhance awareness of the resort with the appointment.

TQPR (Total Quality PR (Thailand)), founded in 1995, is one of Thailand’s leading independent public relations consultancies, serving a wide range of local, regional and international clients across a spectrum of industries and business sectors.

Paul van Frank, the resort’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “We are certainly looking forward to an exciting time ahead working with TQPR to further enhance the awareness of Rayavadee as one of the world’s most exclusive hideaways, in particular here in Thailand.”

Rayavadee enjoys a stunning location on the Andaman coast 800 kilometers south of Bangkok -- in the famous Krabi Marine National Park, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs soaring out of turquoise seas. It is accessible only by private speedboat.

Spread over 26 acres of coconut groves and tropical gardens, it is bordered by three National Park beaches including Phra Nang, which is rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Styled after a Southern Thai Village, the resort features 98 one and two-bedroom pavilions – the most exclusive with private Jacuzzis or fresh-water hydropools and 6 beachside villas, offering butler service and including the Rayavadee Villa with its own swimming pool commanding spectacular sea views.

The Rayavadee Spa offers a full range of massages, scrubs, wraps, facials, baths and beauty treatments. It is hailed as one of the most relaxing sanctuaries in southern Thailand. The Rayavadee Spa was recently accredited by The Leading Hotels of the World as a Leading Spa, one of only seven in Thailand to receive this coveted accreditation.

Guests can enjoy complimentary recreational activities including canoeing, snorkeling, sailing, wind surfing, dinghy sailing, laser boarding, scuba diving and fishing, swimming tennis or squash. The resort also has a fully equipped gym, and the location is ideal for reef walks and mountain treks. Seasonal programs in Thai cooking and Batik painting are also available for interested guests.

Dining options range from the elegant yet informal Raya Dining Room & Lounge serving western and Thai specialties, to seafood and traditional Thai cuisine at the beachfront Krua Phranang Restaurant and Bar, snacks on the poolside Raitalay Terrace and daily barbeque lunches in The Grotto, nestled in nearby waterfront limestone cliffs.

Rayavadee provides two rooms for exclusive meetings, in a theatre style setting, for 5 to 50 persons, equipped with the latest multi-media technology.

Island sightseeing by the resort’s own speedboat, or motor launch is also available. Bamboo Island, 20km from the resort, is excellent for diving and other island getaways are to Gai, Poda or Tub Island for idyllic and tranquil beaches.
