Grosvenor House Dubai apartments open for lease

Travel News Asia 20 February 2005

Leasing has started at Grosvenor House West Marina Beach, Dubai by Le Meridien, with 205 furnished apartments available for a combination of long lease and short lease.

These are the first furnished apartments to be available to lease on the Dubai Marina; the neighbouring developments are buy-to-own and most of the long-stay apartments have already been let in advance of the building’s summer opening.

All apartments will have 24 hour butler and room service, as well as “sign and dine” facilities across the 13 restaurants and bars at Grosvenor House and the 14 outlets of its sister hotel, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa Dubai.

Facilities in the apartments are second-to-none, according to general manager Pam Wilby, who said, “Service, décor and facilities in the apartments will be of the same impeccable standard as the hotel.

“While the apartments will have the added privacy of a separate entrance, residents will be able to access all the conference facilities and public areas of the hotel at the push of a lift button.”

Wide-screen plasma televisions, high-speed internet access and fully equipped kitchens come as standard in every apartments. All have stunning views over the marina, many coming courtesy of floor-to-ceiling bay windows.

One of the key selling-points of the apartments, and indeed, the hotel rooms, is the access to the cutting-edge NeosTv in-room entertainment network.

NeosTv is an interactive digital information and entertainment system that delivers movies-on-demand with DVD functionality, as well as high-speed internet through the television. In addition, the system offers electronic guest services, web radio as well as music on demand.

Wilby explained, “With the development of computer-based high-end entertainment systems, we are able to offer residents and guests free access to in-house music and movie libraries – some of the comforts many travellers miss – as well as radio stations from their home countries.”

She tipped Grosvenor House’s “exclusive lifestyle and exclusive address” as one to become as synonymous with style as Rue Faubourg in Paris, Park Lane in London and Fifth Avenue in New York.

The upcoming Dubai Marina has been earmarked by developers as ‘the lifestyle hub of Dubai’ and was the first residential project to be available to expatriates in Dubai.

The hotel will have 217 sea-facing rooms, while the 205 apartments will offer stunning marina views. The top 11 floors will be dedicated to the Grosvenor Club, premium executive accommodation, whose guests will also have access to the 44th floor dedicated lounge that will provide unrivalled views over Dubai.
