General Manager appointed at Radisson SAS, Dubai Media City

Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, part of Brussels-based Rezidor SAS Hospitality, has appointed German/Austrian national Siegfried Nierhaus to take the reins at the new Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City.

Siegfried (36), who is married with two children, moves to Dubai from Paris. He brings16 years of experience in the European hospitality industry, with a strong background in food & beverage. In 2002, he successfully opened the Country Inn & Suites Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, where he remained for three years as General Manager.

Jean-Marc Busato, Vice president, Rezidor SAS Hospitality Middle East said, “We are confident that having Siegfried on board will contribute to Radisson’s successful comeback into Dubai. The hotel is scheduled to open in five months time and we are right on track.”

The Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City is located in the heart of the emirate’s emerging regional technology and communications hub and offers 247 rooms, including five suites, designed in a contemporary style. The hotel offers several food & beverage outlets, 10 meeting rooms and a health & beauty centre with five themed massage rooms overlooking an outdoor pool.

Siegfried commented on his appointment, “Being married to a Lebanese lady, I am very keen to move from the heart of France to the centre of the Middle East. During the pre-opening the team will be based at the regional office of Rezidor SAS Hospitality in Media City until we move on-site.”
