Travel News Asia 15 August 2005

China Southern Airlines has introduced discounts of up to 28% off Business Class fares from Sydney and Melbourne to China.

Until 30 September 2005, the airline is offering a roundtrip Business Class fare of just A$1499 plus tax of approximately A$160 – a total of A$1659 - from Sydney and Melbourne to Guangzhou, formerly known as Canton. This represents a discount of over 28% off the standard Business Class fare level.

China Southern is also offering a Business Class fare of just A$1699 plus tax of approximately A$190 - a total of A$1889 - from Sydney and Melbourne to either Shanghai or Beijing, China’s capital and the host city for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. This is a reduction of 26% off the usual Business Class price on these routes.

In addition, and in conjunction with international travel, China Southern is offering a reduction of 50% off published fare levels for travel on any of its other domestic sectors within China.

China Southern operates Boeing 777-200 (IGW) aircraft nonstop from Sydney to Guangzhou and from Melbourne to Guangzhou, via Sydney.

The airline offers a large Business Class cabin, seating over 60 passengers in a 2 x 3 x 2 configuration, with 40 inch seat pitch, 120 degree seat recline, footrests and personal video screens showing a range of new release movies.

Seats are limited at these prices and some conditions apply. Taxes are subject to change without notice.
