Mr.
Renzo Cavagliotti has been appointed as General Manager of the
InterContinental Muscat.
A member of the InterContinental Hotels Group team since the
mid-1970s, Cavagliotti moves to the role from the same position at the InterContinental Regency
Bahrain.
Having graduated from the Hotel School of Stresa in northern Italy and training in the tourism and hotel industry in Italy and France, Cavagliotti began his career with
InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in 1973 at the InterContinental Koln in West Germany, where he occupied various positions in the Food & Beverage Department.
Married to Veliana and with two children – Francesca and Alessandro – Cavagliotti speaks five languages including Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
New to life in Oman, Cavagliotti said, “Working with an organization such as InterContinental Hotels Group has been hugely rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed
every country that I have been assigned to work in. I have the same outlook for my time in Oman and am thrilled to be here at such an exciting time, with the tourism
market looking as promising as it is.”
