Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila opens for Business

Travel News Asia 12 July 2005

InterContinental Hotels Group has opened it’s first Crowne Plaza hotel in the Philippines, the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.

The newly completed 265-guestroom hotel features one of the largest convention spaces in the bustling commercial hub of Ortigas, and is just a short walk from the Asian Development Bank and the Philippine Stock Exchange, and only a quick drive from various business and entertainment districts in metro Manila such as Makati.

“This latest addition to our portfolio in the Philippines underscores our commitment to the market and is an important part of our overall expansion plan in South East Asia,” said Jan Smits, Chief Operating Officer, Southern Asia, InterContinental Hotels Group.

Within easy reach of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila offers accommodations with stylish interiors and spacious comfort in its guestrooms and suites. Guests staying at Crowne Club floors can enjoy the use of the exclusive Crowne Club Lounge and perks such as express check-in, extended check-out, complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

Other facilities catering to the guests’ needs include an outdoor swimming pool, a fully- equipped gymnasium as well as a spa and a beauty salon. In addition to offering a large ballroom that can accommodate functions for 20 to 1,500 guests, the hotel offers four other function rooms and is complemented by a fully-equipped business centre with additional meeting space and comprehensive secretarial services.

For dining pleasures, Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila offers two restaurants - the contemporary Seven Corners with its seven unique interactive cooking stations, thematic buffets and a la carte menu, as well as Xin Tian Di, which offers authentic Cantonese cuisine.
