Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa appoints new General Manager

Thomas Hoeborn has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa, Thailand.

Thomas will be responsible for the smooth operation of the resorts’ 296 rooms and suites, compliance with all Hilton International operational, financial and human resource policies as well as the planning and implementation of all business strategies for the hotel.

Thomas’ immediate task is to oversee a major refurbishment of 11 guest suites in the resort’s royal wing, which starts in June this year.

Thomas has extensive commercial experience in Asia, having worked in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Colombo and most recently, Tokyo. During his career at Hilton, Thomas has been intimately involved in concept and product development and was instrumental in creating the ‘Hilton Wine Experience’.

Prior to joining Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Thomas was Hotel Manager at the Hilton Tokyo, where he was responsible for managing an annual turnover of $90 million dollars – almost half of which was generated through the hotel’s acclaimed F&B outlets. Thomas was also the Regional Director, F&B for Japan & Micronesia. 

Thomas replaces Dirk De Cuyper who has been appointed General Manager of Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa, the first Hilton Worldwide Resort in China, which is scheduled to soft open on Hainan Island in November this year.
