3. Executive Appointments at Khiri Travel in Laos, Myanmar and Thailand
Khiri Travel has made the following internal management changes to its operations in Thailand, Myanmar and Laos: Melissa Tan will become General Manager of Khiri Travel Myanmar. Tan joined Khiri in April 2017 as Commercial Manager for Myanmar. In her new role, she will take care of day-to-day management from the Khiri Travel office in Yangon.

Khiri Travel Indonesia has opened an office in Makassar, Sulawesi. The office is Khiri’s fifth in Indonesia after Lombok, Bali, Labuan Bajo (Flores), and Yogyakarta (Java). The new Sulawesi office will look after Khiri itineraries in Sulawesi, Kalimantan, The Moluccas, and Papua.

Herman Hoven is to become the new Chief Executive Officer of Khiri Travel, effective 1 July 2019. Herman, currently General Manager of Khiri Travel Indonesia, has been with Khiri for five years.
7. Bangkok-Based Khiri Group Rebrands as Yaana Ventures
The Bangkok-based Khiri Group has rebranded as Yaana Ventures. CEO Willem Niemeijer said that Yaana Ventures comprises a dynamic mix of new and established travel brands. Khiri Travel, the DMC founded by Niemeijer in 1993 will remain unchanged in brand and focus at the centre of Yaana Ventures, with Richard Brouwer as Khiri CEO.
8. Khiri Travel Opens Phuket Office
Khiri Travel has opened an office in Phuket. Mr Marc Ruffet, 28, a Swiss national, has been appointed as Branch Manager to run the Khiri Phuket office, which is located near the Heroines' Monument.
