6. Le Meridien Returns to Singapore
Thanks to a deal with Treasure Resort Pte Ltd., Starwood’s Le Méridien brand has returned to Singapore after an absence of almost a decade. Designed by DP Architects and Japanese studio Super Potato, the Movenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa officially rebranded today as Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa.

Hyatt has expanded its luxury Park Hyatt brand to Suzhou, China. The Park Hyatt Suzhou, located near freshwater Jinji Lake in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park, was designed by New York architectural firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox, and features interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates.
8. Hyatt Opens Andaz Hotel in Xiamen, China
Hyatt has expanded its portfolio of Andaz hotels to Xiamen, China. Situated in the heart of the city, within the mixed-use development of The MixC and close to Xiamen Botanical Garden, the Andaz Xiamen houses 304 rooms, including 20 suites with separate living rooms.
