In Q1 2013, the AirAsia Group’s total number of passengers increased by 19% to approximately 9.8 million which is in line with 21% increase in capacity. Year-on-year, the group took in 22 additional aircraft, which brings its total fleet at the end of March 2013 to 122 aircraft.

AirAsia has resumed flights between Darwin and Bali with four weekly services. Flights depart from Darwin to Bali on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 19:30 arriving at 20:40 with a total flight time of two hours and 35 minutes. The route will again be operated by a brand new Airbus A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 180.

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) and Norwegian have taken deliver of a new 787 Dreamliner. It was the first 787 delivered to ILFC and its lessee, Norwegian, which will operate the airplane. The 787 also marked the 700th airplane Boeing delivered to ILFC.
