Hong Kong Airlines has launched daily flights to Auckland, New Zealand. The airline will operate the route with Airbus A332 aircraft with 283 seats, including 24 business class seats.

Chiang Dao, located in the northern part of Thailand, is the main region for several Hill Tribes that do not speak the Thai language. Many residents live in poverty and receive limited education and welfare.

Singapore Airlines has announced that Peter Seah Lim Huat will succeed Stephen Lee Ching Yen as its non-executive Chairman. Mr Seah, currently Deputy Chairman, will take over from Mr Lee as Chairman on 1 January 2017. Mr Lee will retire from the SIA Board on the same day. He will continue as Chairman of subsidiary SIA Engineering Company.
