Honeywell Aerospace has strengthened its authorized service center network in Asia Pacific through an agreement with Bombardier Aerospace’s Singapore Service Centre. Construction work has begun on Bombardier’s full-scale factory-owned and operated service centre for business aircraft at Singapore’s Seletar airport. The state-of-the-art service facility, which is set to open in Q2 2013, is made up of 2,930 sq. meters (31,5K sq. feet) of hangar space and 2,694 sq. meters (28,8 sq. feet) for office and back shops.

United Airlines is amending its existing agreement with regional carrier Shuttle America, to add 50 E175 aircraft. Shuttle America’s parent company, Republic Airways Holdings Inc., will determine which of its carriers will operate the new 76-seat aircraft under the United Express brand.

Qatar Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A380. With a total of ten Airbus A380-800s on order, Qatar Airways is preparing to take delivery of four of them before the end of this year. The Qatar Airways 517-seat aircraft is spread across twin decks in a tri-class configuration of 8 seats in First Class; 48 seats in Business Class and 461 in Economy Class.
