81. Delta Takes Delivery of First 242-Tonne Airbus A330-300
The first 242-tonne Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) variant of the A330-300 was this week delivered to Delta Air Lines. The Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.) based airline is the first to receive the aircraft type from among 11 worldwide customers for the option. Delta has selected GE CF6-80E1 engines to power its new A330-300.

The stretch provides customers with 16% more revenue cargo volume, which translates to four additional main-deck pallets and three additional lower-hold pallets. The 747-8 Freighters are powered with GE's GEnx-2B engines.

Ethiopian Airlines has signed a ten year dry lease agreement for two brand new Boeing 777F aircraft powered by GE90 engines. The aircraft have been leased from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The agreement was signed by Ethiopian CEO Tewolde Gebremariam and Rayan Barrett of GECAS.
