Delta’s Board of Directors has announced that Richard H. Anderson has elected to retire as executive chairman. Francis S. “Frank” Blake, who has been lead director since May 2016, will succeed Anderson as Delta’s non-executive chairman. 92. Atlas Air to Expand Operations with Nine B767-BCFs
Atlas Air has signed a deal with Boeing to convert nine B767 passenger airplanes into Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF). Four of the orders were previously announced at the Farnborough International Airshow in July, attributed to an unidentified customer. Atlas Air Worldwide is based in Purchase, New York.

Air Niugini is to increase flights from Port Moresby to Manila, Philippines and to both Sydney and Cairns in Australia. Effective 1 November the number of direct flights to Sydney will increase from two to three a week, while from 3 December the Manila flights will increase from four to five per week.

In September 2016, a total of 1,191,728 passengers passed through Edinburgh Airport in Scotland. The impressive total represents an 11% increase on September 2015 with the greatest growth area being passengers on international flights which had a 21.5% hike compared to the same month last year.
