Sabre has signed an expanded three-year agreement with Far Eastern Air Transport, opening a wider variety of travel options within Taiwan and internationally. Established in 1957, Far Eastern Air Transport operates an extensive domestic route network in Taiwan as well as services from Taiwan to Southeast Asia, South Korea and Palau.
58. Qatar Airways Launches Daily B787 Flights to Cardiff, Wales
Qatar Airways has launched flights between Doha and Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. To celebrate the special occasion, the airline flew one of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Cardiff but will normally operate the daily service with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in a two-class configuration featuring 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

Flight QR321 is scheduled to depart Doha (DOH) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 07:25 and land in Cardiff (CWL) at 12:50. Flight QR322 is timed to leave Cardiff at 15:55 and land in Doha at 00:45 +1.

Aerolíneas Argentinas has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX airplane, the first MAX in Latin America. Aerolíneas took delivery of the airplane, a MAX 8, in late November and flew the first commercial flight about a week later from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, becoming the first in the region to operate the new and improved 737 airplane.

Under the agreement, SIA will progressively add its ‘SQ’ designator code while SilkAir will add its ‘MI’ code to Scoot-operated flights between Singapore and more than 30 destinations served only by Scoot within the SIA Group.

64. Japan Airlines Invests US$10m in Boom Supersonic; Signs Pre-Order for 20 Aircraft
Japan Airlines has entered into a strategic partnership with Boom Supersonic to bring commercial supersonic travel to passengers. Boom is developing a new-generation supersonic aircraft which flies at Mach 2.2, and could cut flight times in half. Through this agreement, JAL will provide its knowledge and experience as an airline to support Boom in developing the aircraft.
