75. Qatar Airways to Increase Flights to Iran; Launch Isfahan Service
Qatar Airways is to increase capacity across its network in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will launch daily scheduled flights to a fourth city – the central Iranian city of Isfahan. An additional 31 flights each week will be operated by the Doha-based airline between the State of Qatar and Iran, representing an 150% increase in overall frequency.

Passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) have the highest demand for self-service options of all six major airport hubs included in this year’s SITA/Air Transport World Passenger Self-Service Survey, which also found high rates of smartphone adoption among premium travelers. It is the first time that AUH has featured in the survey.
77. IATA Reports September 2011 Airline Traffic
IATA member traffic results for September 2011 show diverging trends for cargo and passenger traffic. Passenger traffic was 5.6% higher than the same month last year and stronger than the 4.6% year-on-year growth recorded in August. Air freight on the other hand posted a 2.7% contraction for September compared to September 2010. This is a further deterioration from the 2.4% decline
78. Air China to Resume Direct Shanghai - Paris Flights
Air China is to resume its direct rotations between Shanghai and Paris starting 10 March 2012. The existing Shanghai-Beijing-Paris services (CA933/4) will be rescheduled to become direct rotations between Beijing and Paris operated with Boeing 777-300ER.

Etihad Airways has confirmed that it will outsource the accounting of passenger and cargo revenues to aviation accountancy specialist Kale Consultants Ltd. from April, 2012. Kale Consultants employs more than 1,500 people and has more than 100 aviation industry clients in over 30 countries.
