Cebu Pacific recently launched a web check-in service with free seat selection, in anticipation of high passenger traffic at the airport this November and December travel peak. Passengers automatically get assigned a seat for free during the web check-in process. The airline also added flights and seat capacity in the last quarter of 2011 to cope with demand.

148. Air New Zealand Launches Paraparaumu - Auckland Flights
Paraparaumu today became the 27th destination on Air New Zealand’s domestic network with the launch of direct services between Paraparaumu (Kapiti Coast) and Auckland. The new service is being operated by Air New Zealand regional subsidiary Air Nelson, with 18 return flights per week between the Kapiti Coast and Auckland.

Singapore Zoo, one of four wildlife parks managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) including the first river-themed attraction River Safari, has launched a Chinese mobile interactive trail for students. The new visitor experience uses location-based and Image Recognition Technology to create new learning activities for children at the zoo.

Cathay Pacific has partnered Swire Hotels to launch a new inflight menu promotion for passengers travelling in its First or Business Class. Starting from November, a selection of the delectable dishes found on the menus at Swire Hotels restaurants in Hong Kong and Beijing will be made available onboard selected Cathay Pacific flights departing from Hong Kong.

Tourism Australia has signed a $10 million marketing deal with Jetstar aimed at boosting Japanese inbound tourism and further expanding brand Australia’s presence in Asia Pacific. The three year agreement runs to mid 2014 and will see Tourism Australia and Jetstar each contribute at least $1.6 million per year on a range of joint marketing, digital and social media activities.
