Inmarsat has signed a contract with Air New Zealand to provide Global Xpress (GX) connectivity across the airline’s long-haul and short-haul fleets. For the first time, GX for Aviation connectivity will be integrated with Air New Zealand’s Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system provided by Panasonic.

Three of the routes, Toronto to San Antonio, Memphis and Savannah, bring new destinations into the airline's U.S. network, while the addition of Montreal to Dallas-Fort Worth, Vancouver to Denver and the conversion of the Vancouver-Phoenix route to year-round operation, will deepen Air Canada's schedule.

Bombardier and New United Group Signaling Solutions (BNS) joint venture in China has won its first contract. The order from Changzhou Metro is to equip the Metro Line 1 with an advanced rail control system. The total contract value for BNS is approximately RMB 226 million (c. US$33 million). Bombardier owns 50% of the shares in the BNS JV which was established in 2015.

Boeing says its eighth Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite will provide nearly twice as much communications bandwidth as previous WGS satellites due to an upgraded digital payload. Air China is to launch Beijing - Montreal - Havana flights on 27 December 2015, a southward extension to Havana of the carrier's Beijing - Montreal service which started on 29 September 2015. The flights CA879/CA880 Beijing - Montreal are operated three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
