Thomas Cook (India) has been selected as a preferred partner for the Tourism Industry Partnership (TIP) Programme between Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and Immigration New Zealand (INZ). The TIP programme between Tourism New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand will focus on streamlining the visa process for Indian visitors to New Zealand.

Ryanair has finalized an order for 25 additional high-capacity Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes. The order if valued at approximately $3 billion at list prices. Ryanair launched the high-capacity 737 MAX 8 in late 2014 with an order for 100 airplanes, followed by an additional order for 10 airplanes at the 2017 Paris Air Show.

Inmarsat has signed a contract with China Transport Telecommunication Information Group (CTTIC) to build a local SwiftBroadband-Safety (SB-S) satellite communication operation platform in China. In addition, Inmarsat, CTTIC and Aviation Data Communication Corporation (ADCC) will jointly provide the advanced SB-S aviation safety service to the fast-growing Chinese aviation industry.
133. Singapore Airlines to Resume World’s Longest Commercial Flights
The Ultra Long Range version of the A350 XWB, MSN 216, has successfully completed its first flight. The latest variant of the A350 XWB Family will be able to fly further than any other commercial airliner and will enter service with launch operator Singapore Airlines in the second half of 2018.

Air China will launch flights between Beijing and Panama City via Houston on 5 April 2018. The Beijing-Houston-Panama City route will be operated with Boeing 777-300 ER (Extended Range) wide-body aircraft.

Cebu Pacific has taken delivery of the the first of 39 new Airbus A321 aircraft. While it can accommodate more seats and cargo, the A321 also provides enhanced passenger comfort. The first seven A321 deliveries comprise of the A321ceo (Current Engine Option) variants, with the next tranche of A321ceo deliveries scheduled in the coming months.
136. Solomon Islands Cracks 25,000 International Visitor Arrivals Mark
Figures released by the Solomon Islands National Statistics Office (SINSO) show a total of 25,709 international visitors travelled to the Solomon Islands in 2017, a 10.9% increase over the 23,192 recorded for 2016.
