Etihad Airways has successfully reduced carbon emissions by a combined total of nine tonnes on two flights from Australia to Abu Dhabi. The savings were made as a result of cooperation between Etihad Airways and various air traffic control centres on the ground that enabled the aircraft, Airbus A340s, to fly routes that took advantage of prevailing jet streams.

The hotel features 172 guest rooms, several restaurants and lounges, a Heavenly Spa by Westin and state-of-the-art meeting facilities.

Heritage Hotels & Resorts has reported a growth in reservations of +12.2% and in revenue of +11.6% after switching to Pegasus Solutions’ RezView NG central reservations system (CRS) in early 2011. The collection of seven independent hotels in the southwestern U.S. has seen reservations jump as much as +32% at its Hotel Chimayo in Santa Fe since migration.

Rolls-Royce has received approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for an enhanced Package B version of the Trent 1000 engine which powers the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Package B version of the Trent 1000, which is certified to 70,000lb take-off thrust, will soon enter service with All Nippon Airways (ANA).
