In the first six months of 2012 Thailand recorded a total of 10,496,789 visitor arrivals up 7.60% over the same period of 2011. Bryce Seator has been appointed as the new Director of Rooms at the Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Ming city in Vietnam. Seator arrives in Vietnam off a six-year stint at the Hayman Island resort on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. During his time at Hayman Island, Seator was elevated through the ranks from Event Services Manager, to Front Office Manager to Acting Director of Rooms.

Etihad Airways has launched a six flights per week service between the airlines Abu Dhabi home-base and the Nigerian city, Lagos. To celebrate the new service, and Nigerias love of football, Etihad Airways operated its iconic sky-blue A330-200 aircraft, painted in Manchester City Football Clubs famous colours, for the launch flight.

Silver Whisper will sail from Los Angeles on 5 January 2013, on an 115 day world cruise, following the sun, crossing the equator four times and visiting 52 destinations in 28 countries, before arriving in Ft. Lauderdale on 1 May 2013. With just 382 guests, Silver Whisper is small enough to sail along secluded waterways or into small harbours, where larger ships cannot venture.
