Dusit has announced that it is aiming to reopen the dusitD2 Nairobi hotel in June 2019. The hotel was closed on 15 January 2019 following an attack by Somali militants which claimed the lives of 21 innocent people. Marriott has signed the first Moxy Hotel in Australia. Scheduled to open in July 2021, the 180-room, new-build Moxy Melbourne South Yarra hotel is being developed by Melbourne businessmen Hector Ktori and Peter Arvanitis, and designed by architectural firm Rothelowman.
