Brazilian carrier Passaredo Linhas Aéreas has added the new ATR 72-600 into its fleet. The airline and the US-based leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) have entered into an agreement for the introduction of four ATR 72-600s, and this week took delivery of the very first of these aircraft at the ATR facilities in Toulouse, France.

According to the latest ATR Market Forecast demand for new turboprops in Asia Pacific is expected to reach 750 units over the next 20 years. Out of the 750 estimated aircraft, 630 would be ATR 72 while the demand for ATR 42, accommodating up to 50 passengers, could reach 120 units.
