Uganda Airlines has firmed up an order for two Airbus A330-800 aircraft, the latest version of the popular A330 widebody airplane. Uganda Airlines plans to use the A330-800, which is fitted with the new Airspace by Airbus cabin, to build its medium and long-haul network.

AirAsia X takes Delivery of New Airbus A330. AirAsia X, the low-cost, long-haul affiliate of AirAsia, has taken delivery of its first brand-new Airbus A330 aircraft. The delivery is the first from an order AirAsia X placed for 25 Airbus A330 aircraft earlier this year, and comes just weeks after AirAsia switched its entire Malaysian operations to an all Airbus A320 fleet.

SriLankan Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-300. The wide-body aircraft arrived at Colombo International Airport, having flown from Toulouse, France, and joins the airlines’ existing fleet of A320, A321, A330-200 and A340-300 aircraft. SriLankan will take delivery of a further five A330-300s.

The A330 selected will be the only twin engine, wide body aircraft in Iberia's fleet. The engine selection has not yet been made.
