9. Azul Brazilian Airlines Orders 35 Airbus Aircraft
Azul Brazilian Airlines has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 35 A320neo family aircraft. The airline, which is also leasing another 28 A320neo aircraft, has chosen the A320neo family to carry out domestic long haul flights and high density routes, including Campinas – Salvador and Campinas – Recife. Azul has selected CFM engines for their A320neo fleet.

The deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2018 and 2026.
11. Airbus A320neo Prepares for First Flight in September 2014
The assembly of Airbus’ first A320neo has been completed following painting of the aircraft and the mounting of Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines. MSN6101, which will be the first A320neo to fly, will soon start its ground tests to prepare for first flight.
