AirAsia will launch direct flights between Bangkok and Mandalay in the mystical and beautiful country of Myanmar from 4 October 2012. The low cost airline will operate the route 4 times per week, and will also increase its operations to Yangon to 3 daily flights.

Emirates has taken delivery of its 50th Airbus A380, the 136th A380 which has been delivered in total to all customers around the globe. Following delivery of their first A380 in July 2008, Emirates took delivery of its 25th A380 in October 2012. All Emirates’ A380s are powered by Engine Alliance GP7200 engines. The airline has 140 A380 on order.

Thai Airways International will launch flights between Bangkok and Sapporo, Japan, on 30 October 2012. THAI will operate a total of three flights per week from Bangkok to Sapporo’s Chitose Airport, utilizing Airbus A330-300 type aircraft.

72. Alaska Airlines to Launch New Routes
Alaska Airlines will launch new nonstop services between Seattle and San Antonio, Texas, starting 17 September, and from San Diego to Orlando, Florida, from 11 October, 2012. The San Antonio services will depart Seattle at 12:30 daily, arriving in San Antonio at 18:35. Flights to Seattle will depart San Antonio at 19:25 daily, and arrive in Seattle at 21:55.
